How do I make Windows mail my default?

I have got Windows Vista Basic on my laptop and it came with Microsoft
Outlook (I dont know what version) but it also contains Windows Mail. I would
like to have Windows Mail as my default system, so when i am in the internet
and directly want to email something I can use Windows Mail instead.
I have attempted to uninstall Outlook, but it is not possible.
How can I just change the default?

Control panel-Default Programs.
Be aware that whenever there is an Outlook update from MS it will reset
itself as default.
Why can't you uninstall outlook?

If the PC came with Outlook / MS Office, then unless you paid extra, its a
trial version and will have to be uninstalled once expired.
try setting default mail handler in Internet Options - but any office update
will likely set it back to Outlook
