How do I merge two documents into one big book?

I am putting together a book using publisher. It will eventually be about 400
pages. To keep the individual file sizes manageable I did the first 5
chapters in one document and now am doing the next 5 as a second document.
Can I merge these and end up with sequential page numbering, or should I have
just carried on making a bigger and bigger single file up to 400 pages?
