How do I migrate frontpage to Visual Web Developer 2005 Express ?

I have a fairly simple web site with many pages that I programmed with
FrontPage 2000. With FrontPage going away,it looks like I should probably use
Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition as a replacement.

Is there a migration process from Frontpage to Visual Web Developer 2005
Express Edition? How similiar is Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition
to Frontpage from a learning curve perspective?

Although, from what I have read, support will be around for a few years yet.

IMO, Visual Web Developer 2005 Express is not the replacement for
FrontPage, rather it is an introduction to Visual Studio.NET 2005. -
either can be used alongside FrontPage or its replacements.

Can you explain this a little. I have not tried VSD2005ex yet. I will
when I have some hours to poke around with it.

Assuming I simply want a WYSISYG interface for most content editing,
reasonable HTML source editing, CSS formatting (not positioning)
support, and a reasonable publishing interface, will I find what I
need ?

sites
You can use FP to design the page layout, and Web Developer or Visual
Studio to write the code.

For your purposes, Expressions Web Designer will be the most
appropriate replacement for FrontPage.

Thanks, Ron... I didn't realize that it was asp.net oriented and was
not FP like in structure. I do most of my coding manually and/or in
non-asp languages so VWD2005 is probably not of all that much use to
me.

A little light reading about EWD leads me to believe that it is barely
ready to play - but perhaps I need to get hands on with it first.

June 15 for public CTP.

Frontpage is not really going away, the name is going away and will be
replaced (pretty much) by the new Expressions programs, but it will still be
essentially the same thing, just (supposedly) xhtml compatible (who cares?)
and have a lot more features.
