How do I modify an existing Template?

I have an existing template (2 pages) that I need to modify. It should be
easy, but for some reason I can't do it. The only thing I need to modify is
the date line (to change from 2007 to 2008). Is there anyone who can help me
with this?

I'm operating on Windows Vista, Microsoft Word 2007.

I'm having problems editing the color on a Microsoft Word template called
"Newsletter, Dots design (3-col.)." In the header there are page numbers and
what should be the title of the newsletter. I can't click on them to edit
and can't figure out through the formatting how to edit this content. I'd
like to add the correct name and change the colors. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I guess I can't persuade you to use Publisher for your newsletter? (I have
to at least ask.)

Turn on Headers and Footers. Your page numbers and title are in a textbox on
that "layer". (I'm using the word loosely. Word doesn't really have layers.)

I would, but not everyone who is editing this has Publisher on their computers.

Thanks so much, this helped.
