How do I move a picture in Word 2007?

Brad

I inserted a picture in a blank page. Selected the picture, then tried to
drag it to another location on the page. It won't move. I can resize the
picture, but can't move it. Any suggestions?

Most likely because the image was inserted as "In Line with Text" -- If so
it can only be dragged from one location in the text to another. The only
text on that [otherwise] "blank page" is paragraph containing the image. In
order to move it you can change the formatting of the image to one form of
Text Wrap or another. Doing so converts it to a floating object which you
can then drag around... but it remains anchored to that same paragraph.

BTW: You've posted to the group that caters to Word for Mac. Not that you
aren't welcome here, but the Win Word groups are elsewhere & some issues may
be platform-specific. Have a look here;

To simplify... select "Wrap to front of text" or "Wrap to back of text." This releases the image from the text boundaries.
