how do I move outlook express to mozilla firefox

Am trying to move my mom's outlook express email to go through mozilla
firefox. She has outlook express as a desktop icon. Will this make it safer
to go through firefox or is she okay just opening on the desktop? How do i
move it through firefox if needed?

With great difficulty. Firefox is a WEB browser.
If you mean Mozilla Thunderbird, open Thunderbird then do Tools-Import-Mail
and there's an OE option.
