How do I move the text on a connector/line

T

Tom

When I add text to a line that connects to shapes, the text appears in the
middle of the line. If I want the text to start at a particular end of a
connector, how would I do it?

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

There are (possibly) two ways to do this. The easiest way is to select the
connector that has the text, then pull on the little yellow handle that is
in the middle of the text.

If you're using an older version of Visio, or have a connector that was
created with an older version, you might not see the yellow handle. In this
cae, you need to use the Text Block tool, located under the "A"-dropdown on
the Standard toollbar. It's an A with a circle around it.

Using this tool, you can move the text block on any shape that doesn't have
a locked text position.
