How do I open excel to a page of gridlines, mine opens to a blank

When I click on the excel icon I open to a blank page while I used to open to
a page of empty cells?
I am unable to determine how I lost the cell lines or how to get them back!!!
Can anyone help with this issue???

Does a workbook open? Do you see Book1.xls on the Title Bar(top)?

Is the screen white or gray?

If white.........

Maybe Tools>Options>View. Checkmark in "Gridlines" down at Window Options
section.

If gray.........you might not be opening a workbook.

What happens when you open Excel then File>Open and open a file?

What happens when you click on File>New...Blank Workbook?
