how do i open .idx files

found but still lost

I can't open emails i saved to a CD-R with a .idx extention. if anyone knows
how to recover these files please let me know. Thanks.

Hmm, I think you are in the wrong newsgroup. This is for Outlook and not
Outlook Express. The file extension you are trying to open is an Outlook
Express index file and not meant to be opened by anything other then Outlook
Express. If you have a series of these files on CD, you may be able to
create a new identity in Outlook Express and import them in. Other then
that, I would recommend you post your questions in the Outlook Express
newsgroup for more help.

outlook doesn't use idx extension - you'll need to open them using the
