How do I open Word without using Frontpage?

Everytime I open Word it tries to open Microsoft Office XP Professional with
FrontPage. Then a window opens and says that the feature I am trying to use
is on a CD or other removable disk that is not available. It then asks me to
insert a disk and click ok. Now I could browse, but have no idea what to look
for as the source. So I click cancel and then it goes to Word.

How Do I get this to stop? What did I do to make it always want to open
FrontPage? Please HELP!

"MS Office XP Professional with Front Page" is the name
of the corporate/enterprise edition of Microsoft Office.
If that is the name listed in Add/Remove Programs in the
Windows control panel (Word 2002 is part of that package)
then the MS Installer may have detected an error in the
installation and is asking for that CD to correct it.

You may need to run Detect and Repair from the Word help
menu with the CD, or Office Installation Point available.

After reading your post, I somewhat understand what you are saying. It does
seem to be either an error or that somehow I set up ALL microsoft programs to
open with FrontPage. I have never tried installing or using FrontPage. I just
tried Excel & Outlook, and low and behold, the same thing happened when I
tried to open one of those applicatons. Only thing is, no error comes up
until no CD is detected. What CD are you suggesting I put in? I only recieved
4 emergency recovery CD's when I purchased the tower.

Thanks in advance for your assistance with this!

You may need to contact your PC supplier.
Providing the MS media (not recovery CDs) for
MS Office XP is a requirement for OEM suppliers.

If the Office XP Professional Edition with FrontPage
is listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control
panel and this is not an enterprise/corporate/school
license then it may not be an authorized copy.
