How do I overlap pictures in Publisher?

I just purchased Publisher 2003 w/ Digital Image Pro10, and i'm trying to
create an advertisement w/ 4 images grouped together forming a rectangle and
then a central image right in the middle that can be made transparent. How
do can i make the central picture transparent?

Try the following:

Open your central image in DIP10...
Go to...Effects / Transparency / Even...
drag the slider to achieve the effect
you require.

Save the image in the .png or .tif
format and reinsert into Pub2003.
