how do I password protect a navigation bar

Out of the 10 pages of my web site, I want to password protect one page.
This would be a "members only" page.

Perhaps if you had read just two posts from yours, you would already have
the answer:

The post I referred you to, was not mine. I interpret David Bartosik's post
to say that you can't do what you want to do directly with Publisher. I am
not an expert, but tried to help by pointing you to an expert's answer.
Sorry it was not helpful.

Further to your question, from David Bartosik's FAQ page at
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30

Q. Can I password protect (secure access) my site/page(s)?
A. Such functionality is outside the scope of Publisher. Permissions are a
server side function. Restricting site access is typically managed with a
server side language such as ASP.NET or PHP. Some web hosts do offer site
folder level security customization, usually through an online host
interface, contact your web host support.

Churchsite,

There are a number of ways to password protect a website.
Unfortunately, they are all outside
the scope of what Publisher can do.

http://hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/User_Authentication/index.html
has a huge
collection of such scripts that can do the job. They vary in
complexity, functionality and price
(some are free, some aren't).

Hope this helps!
