How do I paste over an Excel chart into Powerpoint and maintain thelegend format?

I am trying to paste over a chart including a legend (in which I have
deleted some of the data labels) and maintain the composition the
image has in Excel? Thanks in advance for your help.

?? Just do it.
Can you describe what *doesn't* happen when you try?
And, are you pasting as an Excel object or as a picture?
