Background: Access wouldn't load. I changed registry HKEY_Local
Machine\software\microsoft\jet\4.0\engines\excel Win32 from msexcl40.dll to
msaexp30.dll. Now Access loads but can't import an Excel list. Says it can't
find an Installation ISAM. If I change the registry key back to msexcl40.dll,
it can import excel lists just fine. I tried to uninstall and reinstall
Office 2003 with same result. I even used the Windows installation cleanup
utility. These don't seem to be true new installations because I still have
my old Word margin settings, my preferred Excel default font, etc. These
settings are being stored somewhere that doesn't get changed when an
uninstall is done. How do I start completely anew without reformatting my
hard drive.
