how do I place a tagline in a word document?

I am trying to insert a tagline in mircorsoft word but have no clue as to how
to insert it?

I'm guessing that by "tagline" you mean something repeated at the
bottom of every page?

You want to "Insert Footer" (aka "Insert Header and Footer"). When you
select that option, your main document will become grayed out and you
can put your cursor in the Header or the Footer and type whatever you
need.
