How do I play 2 songs in Power Point, one after the other?

I created a picture slide show in PP and want two songs (one after the other)
to play in the background until the presentation comes to an end (approx. 7
minutes). How do I animate the sound files so that they do that?

The simplest way would be to use a sound editing application to combine the
two files into one.

Thanks for the message.

If I understand this correctly, without using an add-in, I have to insert
the 2 sound files (saved as .wma) into the slide where I want them to start
playing. Correct? For example, I want Song #1 to begin with the start of the
presentation and run until its finished (2:53) which means that I'd have to
insert Song #2 at 2:53 seconds into the presentation?

If you are using PowerPoint 20002/XP or PowerPoint 2003, simply add one more
song and set it to after previous.

Yes. I would insert song #2 on the slide it should begin playing on.

As Austin said, though, it's really best to combine the two songs in a sound
editor so you don't have gaps where one stops and before the other begins.

Timing is not PPT's strong suit, so relying on the music to begin at exactly
2:53 into the presentation could end up being a mistake.
