How do I point ost file to cdrive when it always points to server.

I have checked my OPS file and MST file which all seem to show that I am
installing ok with my ost creating in C:Docs and Settings. However when I log
on with test user I have to click on Check Name for it to recognise accoutn
and then change the default Ost path to c drive from server, any ideas?
