How do I prevent Communicator 2007 R2 from stealing focus?

I am using Office Communicator 2007 R2 on a WinXP SP3 machine. I need to
stop Communicator from stealing focus when the call window opens.

I work at a Helpdesk. Quite often, I conference the users to a Tier 2 agent
to help with their issue. When this happens, I am usually typing the details
into the ticket while making the call. 75% of the time, we are both barraged
with touch tones when the other party answers. This is because the call
window has opened and taken the focus from the application that I was working
in. This is extremely irritating to myself and the person on the other end
of the call.
