How do I prevent items in my Favorite Folders from being removed .

I use Favorite Folders to keep frequently used folders in it.
Quite often, some of the folders magically disappear from my Favorite
Folders (usually when I hibernate by laptop). I then have to add them all
over again. This has happened very often.
If there a limit on number of folders that can go into Favorite Folders?
And why does it disappear only when my laptop is asleep?
