How do I prevent Office from changing default language

W

wiggy

All the documents I write are in English (UK) - never English (US) or any
other language. Whenever I paste or copy anything that was written by someone
in English (US) it changes the language selected on my document, which is
very annoying. Is there any way I can prevent Office from changing the
default language? Nothing personal, you US guys - perhaps you have the same
problem with me!

Sorry, I don't have the answer but I'd be very interested to hear the
solution!

Hi Wiggy,

If you use Edit=>Paste Special you can choose a format other than HTML or RTF that won't carry the language settings with it (or
formatting, basically).

You may find the information here helpful.
