How do I prevent OUTLOOK from changing the POP3 server?

I have a broadband internet connection through "suddenlink.net". Every time
I boot up my pc, OUTLOOK makes a change to the Incoming Mail Server (POP3)
and changes it from "pop.suddenlink.net" to "localhost". Then, I get an
error message when I try to use OUTLOOK to retrieve or send email. I make a
change to restore it back to "pop.suddenlink.net" but this only lasts until
the next time I reboot my pc. Has anyone else had this problem with OUTLOOK?
Is there a setting that can be changed to prevent it from recurring? Thank
you. Ramon Revilla

The setting changes because you have a security program (e.g. Antivirus)
installed that can scan pop3 email in real-time. These programs have to
change the server name to localhost because they are acting as a middle man
between Outlook and the mail server.

If you want this to stop, you have to reconfigure your security program.
