After my computer crashed, it rebooted, and Word 2003 said it must start in
Safe Mode. I saved the displayed Word documents, then exited Word. Then,
when I launched Word again, it automatically started in Safe Mode. I retried
launching Word several times, even rebooted my laptop, and the same thing
still happens. I then tried starting Word from the Run command line, and it
still started in Safe Mode, even though I didn't use the /safe switch. I
then launched Word holding down the Control Key, a dialog asked me if I
wanted to start in Safe Mode, I clicked No, but despite this, it still loaded
in Safe Mode. I then launched Word from the Run command line with the /m
switch, and this time it finally loaded normally. It therefore appears that
Autoexec is the problem, but I don't know how to edit this macro or add the
switch to the icon on the Start Menu or fix this any other way. Please help.
Thanks.
