how do i print a non-tiled background?

Kate

I'm using a photograph as a background on a Word document (Office XP). On
print preview, the picture shows very well, covering the entire page.
However, when I print the page, the background is tiled, and looks awful! Is
there any way that this can be altered?
Thank you.

I encountered this as well in a recent file I created and my workaround was
to insert the image directly in the Header and Footer. I've been intending
to look into this (I was in a hurry at the time) but I suspect it's because
the Background option was intended to be used for creating web pages and/or
documents that are viewed on the screen and not for printed copy.
