How do I print a portrait picture in landscape?

I have taken pictures in portrait style but I want to print them in
landscape. I have tried using the button in the print wizzard where it gives
you the option to print in portrait or lanndscape but it still came out
portrait? I am using Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Can this not be done in Printer Preferences, page set up etc..?
Instead of printing in portrait you tell the printer to print in
landscape.
