How do I print a summary of my pages

D

Dick Jensen

I am searching for a way to print a summary of my pages. Something where only
the Titles are listed (and not the actual content of each page) . I have been
searching for this and can not find any way to do it.

I cheat.. I am running Josh Einstein's OneNote Calendar with OneNote 2007.
This gives me a summary of when I accessed each page. If I need a printed
copy, I take a screenshot of it with SnagIt (using the scrolling shot) and
send that to the printer. Link for OneNote Calendar is:
www.einsteintech.net

Though if Josh is reading hits, maybe he will add a print option to the
calendar....

How lucky you get. When trying to install the Calendar I get an Error:
"Cannot download the application ..." Josh does not publish his email,
so I cannot ask him how to overcome that. Would you know? I tried to
install it with ON closed as well when it was running.
Thank you.

Corren,
Are you running OneNote 2007? The calendar only runs with that version.
Another common cause of this problem is not having the .Net framework
installed... If you have the .Net framework installed and are running
OneNote 2007, then tell me a little more about when you are getting the
error... Does it come when you download the file or when you try to install
it?

Dick -

So you are looking for a Table of Contents (TOC)? Do you just want a TOC so
you can print it out? Any other reason?

O

OneNote at AdminID.com

I create a Table Of Contents by highlighting all the pages, "Copy
Hyperlink to this Page", and then paste into a new page. This creates
a list of all the titles like you are looking for.

To take it a step further you can create a link to the Section, then
indent a list of the pages. It takes a little effort and formatting at
first, but is fairly easy to maintain. Make it the only page in a
"Links" notebook for quick navigation.

BTW - Are you installing OneNote Calendar from IE?

Thanks,
AdminID

Josh Einstein

My apologies for the poor support of that application Corren. Since it is a
free app and I am but one developer trying to come up with 10 new Outlook
addins by the end of summer I'm a bit pressed for time. :)

The most common cause and really something I should add to the page is that
you need to use Internet Explorer to install the application. Unfortunately
ClickOnce applications ( a deployment technology in Microsoft .NET 2.0+)
does not support non-IE browsers at this time. I really hope they fix this
soon but in the meantime try with IE. I will also look into putting up a
standalone installer package if I can find some free time.
