How do I print blank lines in a mail merge using Word 2007?

I have blank fields in some of my contacts for a mail merge in Word 2007. I
have a mail merge template. I want to make sure that the blank lines print
so that the rest of the data will line up correctly. I can't find where to
do this.

You will need to use an If...then...Else field that checks for the presence
of data in the fields that might be empty and inserts that data if it is not
empty or a new line feed/carriage return if it is empty.

Thanks Doug. I was afraid that was the only option I might have. I didn't
want to mess with all that, so I created a table to line everything up
regardless of whether the field was empty or not.

I appreciate your response.
