I would like to print my return address on the flap on the back of the
envelope
I am using the #10 envelope size
Don't use envelope tool. Use plain paper setup. Set your paper size up to
the size of the #10 envelope, portrait mode. Place a text box on the page,
type in the information and turn the print text in the text box to go
vertical. Print and adjust as necessary until you get it where you want it.
When I do odd sized stuff like this I always cut paper the size of the
object to run my tests with. That way I don't waste good paper or
materials.
Someone from the post office may contradict me but if you are mailing with
your return address on the back and the "to" address is invalid the envelope
goes to dead letter and is not delivered. They are not required to look on
the back of the envelope for return addresses. Their regulations say top
left of a first class envelope IIRC.
