How do I print pg1 and pg2 (5x8) of my novel on 1 sheet(8.5x11)?

This is what *I* would do. It doesn't mean it's the only way tho.

Print the file with a .pdf driver. (If you don't have Acrobat and prefer not
to make that investment, I suggest downloading PrimoPDF from
www.primopdf.com.) Open the .pdf file in Adobe Reader. Set it to print
multiple pages per sheet. Print it.

Either you've answered the wrong post or you misread his question. Or maybe
I did.

JoAnn, Thanks
Tried all that, still only prints 1pg. and there are 302 pages. I just
thought it would be cool to see it as it will be printed. I will go back to
printing the whole 8x11 use smaller print and both sides to save on paper to
hand out for proofing.

Please don't take this wrong but you must be doing something different.

Do you want to see all 302 pages that way or just a few? If you'd like, you
could send me a few pages of the .pub file and let me see if it does the
same thing for me.

JaAnn,
My Editor, well me too, thought I could save paper when I showed her the way
it looked in 5x8. We want to show it to others before going to the printers.
I just thought that I could print the whole book that way (2pg. on 1 sheet).
I never tried printing it out before, now I'm sure I'm doing something wrong,
but don't know what. I have the primo-download but not sure if I even put the
book into pdf. Don't worry about me taking anything wrong, I already knew I'm
an idiot when it comes to computers....I KNOW NOTHING! Thanks so much for
your trying, but I don't think I'm able to do it.

You can do this - it's not difficult.

Did you install the program? If so, in Publisher File - Print and change the
printer driver to PrimoPDF. When you tell it okay, it will prompt you for a
file name. Make sure you know where that file is and what it's name is.

Do this and let us know if you can open the .pdf file with Reader.

JoAnn,
I have been trying this from the 'book file', print, primo, 2pgs, Okay, then
my printer does nothing. I will try it your way. I'll bet I have not
installed it right. When I push print it shows a check mark over my printer
but the primo is highlighted. My tiny icon of my printer at the bottom right
bar of my screen has a ? by it. Okay let me try again.

After you downloaded the Primo file, did you double click on it?
