how do I print smaller page sizes

I can't seem to find a way to print my note on to a 3X5 index card. When I
choose page setup and set formats, all that comes out is the date. The date,
presumably is at the far right of a letter size page, so that is all that
seems to come out, when it is the note and header that I want.

YOu need to set the page size before creating text.

Go into Page Setup and set the page Size to Index card. You will need to
change the text to fit the page.
