Trying to print a journaling page for a scrapbook project, and want my text
to fill the space in the shape of a circle in Word Art.....thanks for your
help!
First select a WordArt style (which really has more to do with color and pattern
than with shape) and enter some text to create the WordArt object in the
document. Then click the object to select it.
In Word 2003 and earlier, the floating WordArt toolbar appears; in Word 2007,
the WordArt Tools tab appears on the ribbon. In either case, click the Change
Shape button to display a gallery of shapes. There are two full circles (thick
and thin) and two shapes that consist of top, middle, and bottom arcs. Select
one of those.
The full circle shapes wrap your text 360 degrees around, which means part of it
will be upside down. The three-arc shapes will keep all the text upright. To use
the three-arc shapes properly, edit the text and use the Enter key to separate
it into three lines that will appear on the three arcs. If you want the middle
to be left empty, leave text only on the first and third lines.
The initial shape will probably be oval rather than circular. Drag a corner
until the bounding box is square and the arcs look circular.
