Word does not protect the document from being copied only from being altered.
Is there a way where i can protect my word document from being copied at all.

I would like my documents to be read-only, no selecting the copying and then
pasting onto another blank document.

Thank you.

No, there is no way to do that. (This may be in the top 10 most
frequently asked questions, and the answer is _always_ the same.)

Once you give the document to somebody, you have lost all control over it.

Doug/Jay,

If you wanted to prevent someone from selecting text in a doc,
couldn't you protect the document as a "fill-in form" only? Then you
literally couldn't select anything.

No, that "protection" is defeated simply by turning off the
protection, or at most by using Insert > File to put the text of the
form into a new blank document. It's "protection" only in the sense
that it prevents you from accidentally modifying the text around the
form fields. I'll repeat that there is _no_ way to prevent a
determined user from making a more-or-less exact copy of any document
that can be displayed on a computer.

Buy Adobe, save as PDF with option copy protected. Or insert your text as a
picture.

Or burn if it is so secret.

Even with Adobe-protected PDF, it's possible -- at worst -- to take a
screen shot and run it through OCR software. The only way to prevent
copying is to prevent access. Period.

I definitely do agree
