How do I publish an Intranet site

I created a website in Publisher but do not want users to be able to trace
the file path, so I've been reading about creating a web server. I have
installed IIS 6.0, on an XP Pro system.

I have moved the file to the \\inetpub\wwwroot folder but it still does not
show up. I think I have missed a step or two but I'm not sure where, can
someone offer some advice or will this only work with Frontpage?
