How do I put a picture in the background of Power Point slides?

How can I put a picture from my computer on the background of a set of PP
slides so that any words I type on the PP slide would show up and you would
be able to read them?

Well, you can add a picture to the background in a number of ways. But I
think what you're asking is how to do a "washout" to fade the picture so it
can be seen.
