How do I put colors into a black and white template?

I have a letterhead graphic that I want to insert into a certificate. It is a
template and I cannot change the colors to match the certificate. Any
suggestions?

What software was used to create the original graphic. If you have access to
it then that's where to do it. If not, how complex is the graphic. Is it
possible to break it down into manageable parts and draw over the top of it
using the autoshapes/lines tools to create a set of small enclosed areas that
create the whole You can then use the fill color and line color tools to
get your color effects. Take a look at the Let's draw examples in
www.drawingwithword.com - perhaps it might encourage you to have a go.
