how do I put dates in a table column automatically (w/o typing)?

I want to list the dates Jan 1-Dec 31 in a column of a table with out typing
them all in individually. Is there a way to do this

The easiest way is to insert the first two dates in a column in Excel, drag
to AutoFill, then copy/paste into Word (which has no such AutoFill
capability).
