How do I put earlier timeline dates into visio

How do I put earlier timeline dates into visio? I am trying to put the year
1500 in a timeline but I cannot seem to be able to do it .

This is a silly limitation that goes back to the early days of Excel and
Lotus 1-2-3. Office cannot represent dates prior to the year 1900. Visio
is bound by this same limit. My suggestion is to manually place a text
label next to the timeline and type in your own date.

Thank you Mark,,,I hope it helps, who do we contact at MS to ask if this
little limitation can be fixed? Schools would use this to help students
learn about timelines in history, but time didn't start in 1900,, reminds me
of the year 2000 glitches,,has MS not learned anything about dates yet?
