How do I quickly view the duration of an appointment in Outlook?

Sometimes as I run the mouse over an appointment, the duration of the
appointment (ex. 2 hours) is shown. Generally, this doesn't appear. I'd
like to easily view the duration of an appointment.

I am using the color-coding in Outlook calendar to allot segments of time to
various projects. For example, I want to spend 20 hours per week on project
blue, and 20 hours on project red, and I want to view at a glance the number
of hours I've scheduled for personal (green) and nonprofit (orange)
activities each week. So, ideally, to be able to get a count on the number
of hours allotted to each color per week would be grand.

Thanks
