How do I re-apply symbols back to the insert menu.

The insert symbol doesn't appear at all when I click on the Insert Menu. I
see it on tool customize, but I can get it back to work. I also see it on the
font change but I can't make my choices from there.

Did you try dragging/dropping the Symbols command from the Customize
dialog box back to the Insert menu?
