Somehow I have lost the "database window" - on startup I now only show the
switchboard form. I have tried checking/unchecking the tool/startup checkbox
for database window to no avail - don't know what I may have done to loose it.
Can someone please help?

Do you have a macro named Autoexec? If so then open it in design view and
see if it is opening your switchboard.

Also, it may be minimized, and out of the current Access window's view - F11
will bring it back to the front and allow you to resize it.

Do as SusanV suggests and press F11.

If you don't see it then, on the menu go to Window, Cascade. If it is off
screen, that will bring it back.

Another option is to resize the computer's screen size to something huge
like 1280x1024 pixals and see if it shows up.

Jerry - thanks a TON - the menu->windows->cascade worked and all is well
again (thanks also to Karl and Susan) ...
