How do i re-skin the new Office 2007 to look and act like 2003... there is
no way I am going to deploy this new office suite. My help desk would be
hammered! I have been searching for a solution, but haven't seen one yet.
maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. other than use 2003
or Open Office.

Thanks

While you could give it back the Office 2003 menus & toolbars to some
degree using RibbonX (the link to my site someone already provided),
it's not very practical. I think you need to read about the new Ribbon
UI, why Microsoft introduced it and how to best use it. My personal
belief is that your helpdesk would survive it actually.
To read about the Ribbon UI itself, see

Only a joke!

Erm your not asking them to write C++, if you don't think they will be able
to 'handle' Office 2007 then you might want to get some new employees!

Seriously

Why not tell the employees to explore the new software, without opening any
work or important documents. Explain that now they don't have to search
through endless options when they want to change a picture - now if they
click on a picture the Format Picture Tools bar appears with everything they
want.

If you can get to see everyone then why not give them a demonstration of how
to perform common functions such as Save, Print, Open, Spell Check and change
the page orientation etc , on a projector.

If not then why not sent the above instructions on an email, before you
change over (so people can work out how to open the email and print the
document off!) Then they can go through the process with a piece of paper in
front of them.

It is a big change, but after a short while people will be doing things in
half the time. Furthermore although you will get a lot of questions at the
start, I am sure general queries will drop as time goes on, as Office 2007 is
so much more intuitive then 'old office'.
