How do I read Visio Files

I have been send a number of .vsd files and I have to read them on my
mac, and can nto find any way of doing it, any suggestions? And no I
can't have them put into a word document or converted. I need to be
able to view them on mac nothing more.

There are two solutions I can think of right now:

a) use Visio in a Virtual PC Windows environment

b) use OmniGraffle Pro, which is, as far as I know, the only Mac-native
application to read Visio files. You can download it here and give it a try:

You're welcome. I use almost every single OmniGroup product there is, and
OmniGraffle is a particularly useful and elegant program. Mind you, I don't
have the Pro version, so I can't say how well the Visio import/export works
(I've never had to use Visio files either).

OG Pro will open the XML visio files only (I never use them but I know
people who do and they really like the OG XML-Vision import).

localized all their apps in French ;-)) Though OG and OO are now done by
a third party company).
