How do I recover a corrupt file?

I have built my website using Publisher 2007. when trying to open the file it
comes up with....
Publisher cannot open this file. This file may have been corrupted during
download. To open this file you must download it again.

I appreciated any help as I do not wish to start from scratch with my website.

It sounds like you are saying that you are trying to open the web page, the
..htm file in Publisher to edit. Publisher is not a html editor like
FrontPage. You do not edit the web files. With Publisher you will open the
original .pub file, make your changes and then produce new web files.
Hopefully you kept the original. If not you can rebuild your Publisher file
from your web files. Read the last part of:
