How do I recover from 2007 MS Office trial?

I didn't like the trial version of this product so I did the uninstall. Now,
my Microsoft Word 2003 has been compromised and will not run. This crippled
my home and small business use. Microsoft wants to charge me $49.00 for Tech
Support on a "TRIAL" version.
Can anyone help?
