how do i recover lost e mail data

i had to restore my computer to original, altough the system said i would not
lose any data i lost all my e mails and address book, can this be recovered.

If you restored your PC to factory defaults with a restore disk, whomever
told you you would not lose data lied to you . If, however, you performed a
repair install, then perhaps your data is still there. Your descripton is
not precise enough to determine.

Sorry for the lack of info, i performed a repair install. I had archived my e
mails, does that help??

Archiving is not equivalent to making a backup. Read the pages referenced
