How do I recover Office word after installing McAffe?

It seems I have lost MS word after installing anti virus. My old Office word
documents seem to be in notepad form and I can no longer locate Microsoft
Office Word to create a new document.
I have tried the application recovery but it is not showing any files to
recover.
Any ideas????
