How do I recover Outlook files after a disk crash

I was using Outlook 2003 on my laptop. My laptop suffered serious disk
problems, and I needed to replace the hard disk drive. I can still access
many of the files on the old disk drive, and I would like to recover as much
of the Outlook files, and configuration as possible. I have been unable to
find what files to look for, and how to do that. As an alternative, it is
conceivable (maybe) that I boot from the old disk drive, archive in some
fashion, then boot from the new disk drive, and restore ... though I would
prefer to avoid that approach.

The list of files Outlook uses is here:

version, you may have to enable viewing hidden files and folders to see
them.

OK. I see the list. Thank you. Two follow up questions:
1. When I access the old hard disk, e:documents and settings\username, (with
option set to show hidden files and folders), I get an "is not accessible"
message in explorer. How do I get past that?

2. Looking at the page your referenced, I cannot tell which file has the
Contacts that I maintain in Outlook -- can you tell me the name, and where I
find it?

ok you must have had the old user profile with a password
you need to take ownership of the old location
if your using 2000 or xp pro ignore steps 1 and 2

1. Log into Safe mode
2. Log into Administrator account
3. Right click on folder that will not open
4. Left click on properties
5. Left click Security tab
6. Left Click on advanced Button
7. Left click on owner
8. Left click on Current owner
9. Left click Change owner to Administrator
10. Left click Replace owner on subcontainers and objects
11. Left click Apply
12. Left click ok

then your pst files in the location that was previously mention will have
all your email and contacts.
ie
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

in here is your default sore location for your pst files which you will need
to import to get your old email and contacts back

All your Outlook data - email, contacts, calendar, tasks, journal, etc. -
are in the same file: the PST.
