How do I reduce size of XL 2007 file to save as XL 97 ?

I have a 45KB excel 2007 file which I need to save in an earlier version of
excel.

Whenever I try to do this, I get a warning that there will be significant
loss of functionality and data will be lost. Any ideas, please?

If you have used functions that are only available in Excel 2007, then those
are the things that will be lost - if you have only used functions that are
available in Excel 97, then ignore the warning...

Since Excel also warns for loss of data, there are probably cells to the right of column IV or below row 65536

These warnings will not occur if they don't apply to the workbook in question.

I don't have xl2007, but am wondering if some of the formulas might be
sumproducts of entire columns, which xl2003 does not support...

Good thinking! But those generate a different kind of error message.
