oh that - I thought you meant a header, like on the email reading pane. No,
you can't hide or resize that thing. you can make slight adjustments by
changing the font sizes on the grid - right click on the calendar and choose
other settings. if the fonts are over 8, it helps to lower them to 8. You
can get 1 or 2 more showing by putting toolbars on 1 row - assuming you
don't have them on 1 row already.

I'm in month view with high Detail. The date headers are thick and
"clunky"
meaning that I can only see three appointments per day - unlike previous
office versions where I could view 4 items per day.
