How do I register an OLE server for a PDF file?

I am trying to insert a PDF file into the detail section of an Access 2003
report. I select Acrobat document. I can see the file in the report design
window, but when I minimize the Acrobat Reader 8.0 window, I get this
message: The operation on the Acrobat document failed. The OLE server may not
be registered. To register the OLE server, reinstall it. Other posts on the
OLE server quesition have not helped.
