How do I remove a corrupted style from a Word document?

A corrupted style appeared in my styles and formatting pane recently while I
was editing a table.
It is the same as another style, except with '+ Left: 0.08", + Right: 0.08"'
formatting.
The styles and formatting pane seems to think that there are 25 instances of
it, but when I click "Select all 25 Instances)", nothing is highlighted and
it doesn't move me to any highlighted section of the document.
I've tried modifying the style to remove the 0.08" paragraph settings, but I
click OK and nothing happens.
I also cannot delete the style.
I've also reformatted every cell in the table and tried deleting the table
which I was working on when it appeared, but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

That it's not a (named/saved) style you are seeing, it's direct formatting
in the document. If it's listed it's there. Do your tables contain merged
cells? If so that's where the formatting is being used. If you really want
to track it down you'll need to convert your tables to a delimited list at
which point you'll be able to select the formatting using the "Select all
Instances" option. I'd create a copy of the document and convert the tables
to find it. Then, once found, I'd decide if it's worth the trouble to
actually remove the formatting from the original document. :)
